Hibiscus Waste & a New Collection in the MakingIn a recent live performance at Rep Cafe, I explored the chromatic possibilities of hibiscus flower waste, a vibrant, organic material full of surprises. Working with dyed fabrics extracted from hibiscus flower waste, I delved into the alchemy of transforming discarded matters into colors that evoke raw emotion and organic beauty. |

The result captures the movement and texture of the dyed fabrics being sculpted into forms that feel both intimate and otherworldly. Hibiscus is a material that never ceases to amaze me, revealing shades of deep burgundy, soft pinks, and earthy browns & also a favorite inky purple in its dyeing process.
