I am thrilled to announce the official launch of my newest collection, Blissful Voids, an expansion of the beloved Colorful Blacks series. This time, I’ve pushed the boundaries further with larger, more immersive pieces that invite viewers to reflect on the depths of black—both visually and spiritually.

The Colorful Blacks collection of Blissful Voids seeks to challenge this conventional notion by exploring the potential of eco-friendly natural dyeing techniques. Each piece showcases a spectrum of “eco-blacks”, featuring gradient effects that unveil the hidden mass tones underlying each shade. These pieces invite viewers to question when a dark hue transitions into “black,” pushing boundaries of color perception and prompting a deeper appreciation for the complexity of this hue in both art and fashion.

In Colorful Blacks, this light interacts specifically with the deep, organic hues of the eco-black gradients, creating a visual tension between light and darkness. These eco-blacks, with their subtle variations and natural undertones, reveal themselves differently depending on the time of day, the position of the light, and the viewer’s perspective. This nuanced relationship between shadow and dyed parts calls on the viewer to slow down and witness the layers within the color itself.

The collection encourages a journey inward, asking viewers to pause and reflect, much like the process through which the pieces were created—by extracting color from waste, a process rooted in care, experimentation, and co-creation with the environment. Each sculpture becomes a symbol of regeneration, where what is typically discarded transforms into something beautiful and essential, inviting contemplation on the possibilities of what can emerge from stillness.

It showcases the depth found in what we often perceive as void or absence. By presenting black as a shifting, living color, I not only pay homage to its role in fashion, overall textile, and art but also reveal the hidden colors that lie beneath the surface, waiting to be seen.
